OBITUARY

MRS. MARY BARSTOW The death has occurred of Mrs. Mary Barstow, who for many years was a resident of Remuera. ' Mrs. Barstow was a daughter of the late 1 , 0 l ice-Sergeant Gamble, so well known to all old Aucklanders. She was born at Papakura 75 years ago and was married to Mr. Henry Barstow. Mrs. Rarstow was known and loved for her many deeds of love and charity. There were no children, but a niece. Miss K. Sanderson, lived with her for a number of years. MRS. S. J. MONTGOMERIK The death has occurred at ManuI'fwa of Mrs. Sarah Jane Montgomerie, aged SO. Mrs. Montgomerie, who was born in Lodden, Victoria, came to' Xew Zealand at an early age. landing at Lyttelton. She married Mr. John Ainslie Montgomerie, a surveyor on the West Coast, who died about 30 years ago. Since 1920 Mrs. Montgomerie has been living at Manurewa with a daughter. She is survived by two daughters and three sons.
