PARK IMPROVEMENT
The city engineer, Mr. J Tvler was authorised by the City Council' last night to carry out an improvement scheme at Myers Park at a cost not exceeding £280. The engineer reported on a proposal to take into the park an area immediately below the Queen Street entrance, involving the adjustment of surface levels inside the area terracing and replanning of the path scheme, with the Queen Street gate placed at a point midway along the entire new frontage. This work he estimated, would cost £847, with an additional sum to cover the shifting of the entrance and anv additional tree planting. " -'
