GERMANS IN BAI7TIC Russian Guerilla Forces Are Growing Daily U P.A. and British Wirefos?. Rec. 2 p.m. LONDON, July 28. The Russian night communique reported that a direct hit with a 500 kilogram bomb was scored on a: Finnish armoured vessel of tne coastal service. Large explosions were observed. The Russian afternoon communique refers to the. bombing of a Finnish battle cruiser, and says Soviet pilots report direct hits, followed by powerful explosions. A German transport and a barge proceeding to Finland with war matfrialswere sunk by the air force. A Soviet patrol boat found four enemy flyers in a rubber boat in the Baltic. When captured the* said their plane made a forced landing after beins damaged by shore defence batterie?. "Russian guerilla units are dailv crowing in number and strength, sakl the deputy-chief, of the Soviet Ministry of Information, M. Lozo\skv -They often act in communication with the Red Army. One such unit recaptured Slutsk, killing off the entire German garrison and destroying German stocks, and retiring when German reinforceI ments arrived. _ .
"A guerilla unit at Lunimec destroyed 3000 tons of grain which the Germans had stolen also petrol stores and blew up ten bridges. Another unit destroyed 30 tanks and armoured vehicles.
"The guerillas' tricks are causing panic among the Germans Wires are stretched across roads at nights to knock motor cyclists from their machine! Sid spiked bars puncture their types. The Germans are making reprisal by killing captured guerillas with horrible tortures.
