BREAD CONTRACT
STATEMENT The recent contract for bread supplica was referred to* in a letter which the Hospital Board received last evening from Stormonts, Ltd j one of the firms mentioned when the bread contract was discussed at a previous meeting. The writers denied that the board had receivedscant courtesy, and stated that the' firm had carried out its relief contract over the extended time at no increased price. An elaborate system had been installed: still, at times the firm did not receive payment for bread. At no time had any letter been received stating that joint tendering would not be allowed, and no publicity was Riven by them when tendering was in progress The firm had acted honourably regnrding dealings with members of the board.
