ST. JOHN NURSES
AXXUATj INSPECTION At the annual inspection of the Epsom Nursing Division of the St. John Ambulance Brigade a recoixl number of members was on parade under the control of the lady divisional superintendent. Miss E. M. Buller. The inspecting officer was Mr. F. J. Hutchinson. commissioner, who was accompanied by Mrs. G. S. Cammell, lady district superintendent, Mr. C. Lindesay, district officer, Mrs. E. McDowell and Miss M. MacLeod, lady corps officers. Mr. Hutchinson expressed the satisfaction of the officers with the activities of the division, and during the evening presented Dr. N. I. Houghton with her warrant of appointment as divisional surgeon. Other presentations included a Long Service Medal to Miss K. G. Haselden, and a second bar to her Long Service Medal to Miss E. M. Ernest, who has now completed 22 years' service. Members of the Epsom Cadet Nursing Division, whose superintendent is Miss E. J. Ward, were also on parade. In connection with the division, the Alison Henderson Linen Guild works for the St. John district nurses and last year supplied 1470 bandages and 385 garments as well as dressings and old linen.
