AVONDALE CAMP

CONDITIONS IMPROVE

"The dry spell this morning has made all the difference," said the commandant of the Avondale territorial camp. Captain M. N. Wallace, when referring to the conditions at the camp to-day. It was pointed out that the tents were all opened to the sun during the morning and that the ground was drying quickly. The men who were accommodated in the grandstand were instructed that they were to stay there to-night in case the weather changed. It was not considered necessary that the men should return to their homes to-night or to stay in the city.
