Clark stating that a number of complaints had been received that the lighting of the -south face of the Chief Post Office clock was not as effective as that of most of the other clocks in Queen Street. In his letter Dr Neale suggested the exploration of the possibility of having both faces of the clock lighted so that it would be visible from a greater distance than was possible at present. . D '• Neale further reported that he had also communicated with the Auckland district traffic manager of railways requesting information as to plans for the lighting of the main clock at the railway station.
