When the Auckland Rugby League Control Board met last night a further request for a return game against Auckland was made l>y the .South Auckland Leujjue. wliic-h wished to know the earliest date tlie fixture could he played. Clarke it was decided tu deter finality until later in the second round.
Arrangements in connection v.-itb. t'ue vir-it of the Newton Club to play a game at Stratford on Saturday week were finalised. Mr. J. A. Mackinnon was appointed manager. J n connection with the draw for the senior maiY-hes on Saturday it ->vas reKolved to play the Pa.pnku.ra and Xewton (Jtaine at Carlaw Park No. 2 at 1.45 p.in. instead of at l'apukura, as previously an aliped.
Mr. K. Chapman, chairman of the Junior Control Hoard, mentioned that the fiftli grade championship had been -won by j'oint Chevalier for the firec time in the <lul>"s history. A liijrh etandird of football had been maintaine.l, and it was decided to congratulate the club on ite BUCCCSS.
