lhe Mayor, Mr. I. J. Goldstine presided at last night's meeting of the One Tree Hill Borough Council It was reported that during the past fortnight eight building permits totalling £.-,191 had been issued making a total, since April 1. of £30 511 an increase of £1532 over the same period last year.
The construction of the new reservoir is proceeding satisfactorily reported the consulting engineer The reservoir, which will have a capacity of one and a quarter million gallons is expected to be completed by the end of next month.
The house-to-house canvass in the borough resulted in the collection ?/ £ , 41 2 for the Fighting Forces Fund. The Mayor said the response was undoubtedly good, and with councillors, expressed appreciation both to the residents who had contributed and to the collectors. With the council's allocation a total of £61 > would be paid into the fund. I
