KILLED IN CRETE
AUCKLAND OFFICER
Intimation that their eldest son Lieutenant Harold Raymond Anderson, was killed in action in Crete on May 20 was received yesterday by Mr. and Airs. H. S. Anderson, of 228 St. Andrew's Road. Epsom. An earlier report indicated that Lieutenant Anderson was missing.
Born in Dargaville in 1908 ho matriculated at the Auckland Grammar School and later attended the Auckland University College He was a member of the Auckland Real Estate Institute. Lieutenant Anderson was a territorial officer before the war and was one of the first officers to be transferred to the Auckland detachment of the N.Z. Scottish Regiment He left with the Second Kcnelon. He was a member of Lodee kemuera, English Constitutions of I- reemasons. Lieutenant Anderson is survived by his wife, who lives at 7, Marie Avenue, Mount Roskill and a small son.
