LESS CRIME IN N.Z.

(P.A.) CHRISTCHURCH, Tuesday. A sharp drop in the criminal business of the Supreme Court in New Zealand was commented upon by Mr. Justice Northcroft in his charge to the Grand Jury at the opening of the criminal sessions in Christchurch. Mr. Justice Northcroft said he had noticed the same thing in other centres. He added that there were only three cases for consideration. Two Involved charges of dishonesty and the third was a motoring case where a motorist was charged with negligent driving, causing death. True bills were returned in all three cases.
