TE AROHA BY-ELECTION
m (O.C) TE AROHA, this day. The Te Aroha Borough Council by-election, caused by the resignation of Mr. R. A- Wilcox, was held yesterday and resulted in Mr. J. E. Wild being elected by a majority of 76. The figures were: J. E. Wild 343, W. C. Kennedy 267, J. Fitzpatrick 172. Informal 9. Only 791 votes were cast, compared with 1198 at the election last May.
