EXTENSION OF SERVICE (0.C.) WELLINGTON 7 , this day. Plans to extend the school dental service to the upper standards of nrimary schools are announced by the Minister of Health, the Hon. A. H. Norclmeyer. He said that result?, achieved by the school dental service were one of the most gratifying features of the Denartment'.activities this year Two new records had been set. The number of children receiving treatment throughout the Dominion was now more than 115,000 and for the first time operations had exceeded 1,000,000 in a year. The Minister said extension of treatment to Standard V. was recently authorised by the Cabinet and in a number of schools Standard V. children were now receiving it. The Department was preparing plans for its extension to Standard VL
