TAXICAB LICENSES

The Auckland Transport Board sitting as the Metropolitan Licensing Authority, this morning granted an application by Messrs. Watney Sibun and Sons for an additional tax,cab-service license, the terms to be the same as those operating with respect to two private taxicabs used by the firm for funerals, weddings and other specialised work. The application was opposed on behalf of the Atta and Checker Companies hut it was explained by applicant tnat the firm's taxicabs were not operated in. opposition to taxi services. Transfers of taxicab service licenses were granted from R. D. Stewart to S. Davidson. F. .T. McDivitt to .T. A. Copeland, W. I). Muir C. J Williams, F. J. Murray to £ G. Atkinson and F. D. Louisson, to R. T. Kennerlev. 1
