WOMAN'S DEATH
WHILE UNDER ANAESTHETIC While under an anaesthetic, a widow, Lucy Mary Pryor, aged 77, collapsed and died on Saturday. Mrs. Pryor was admitted to the Auckland Hospital on July 13 suffering from a broken hip sustained when she fell from a couch. At 9.25 a.m. on Saturday, an anaesthetic was being administered for the purpose of performing an operation on the fractured hip bone when the patient collapsed and died. morning the coroner, Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., opened an inquest. After evidence of identification had been given the proceedings were adjourned. I
