THIEVES ACTIVE
PAPAKURA BURGLARY
(0.C.)
PAPAKURA, this day.
Thieves were active in Papakura last night. A tobacconist's shop owned by Mr. N. Clew, was broken into late last night or early this morning and tins of pipe and cigarette tobacco and packets of cigarettes were taken. The total loss is estimated at £10. Entrance was apparently gained by forcing the lock of the front door.
An unsuccessful attempt was made to break open a grocer's shop a few doors away.
