(By Air.) SAN FRANCISCO, July 12. America's "flying priest," Father Bernard Hubbard, of California, who has spent several years in Alaskan territory exploring and spreading the Gospel among the Eskimos 1 while staying a few davs in San P rancisco preparatory to leaving for ' Alaska, said there was no reason for 1 America to fear for the defence or I safety of Alaska from depredations ' of aggressors. I "Alaska cannot be successfully in- ' vaded, and the fellow who is there 1 can hold out, he said. "A few wellplaced air bases and submarine harbours would place Alaska in a safe position ' He is offering knowledge acquired in the Far North to American Hying officials stationed there.
