U.S.A. SAYS YES
"ALWAYS BK AX ENGLAND" Some idea of the interest taken by many Americans in the outcome of the war is conveyed by the envelope of a letter received by a Wellington resident from a friend in the United Slates. On the address side of the envelope is printed the Union Jack and a bulldog, with the slogan
There'll Always Be An England" in red and blue ink. The envelope was sealed with a sticker which was the map of England in white on blue background, with a red scroll bearin'-: tlx- Nimc slogan across the map.
'n l«ii-warding the envelope. Mr. Edmund An-oimlic remarks ihat it
is quite possible that the envelopes arc sold at twice normal price, and that 50 per cent of the sales is devoted to helping war victims in Britain: he found this method of raising funds much in use when he was in the United States last year. One instance he noted was the sale of Union Jacks in coloured enamels. The value was one dollar, but they sold for 21 dollars, the profit going for war victims in Britain.
