Notice is hereby given that it is the intention of the Auckland Combined Metropolitan Centennial Memorial Committee to Introduce a Local Bill into Parliament during the present Session thereof under the nimc ot "The Auckland Centennial Memorial Park Act. 1941." The objects of the Bill are: (a) To establish a Board to take over, hold and control lands in and about the Waltakere Ranges acquired or to be acquired for the purposes of a scenic park (to be known as the Auckland Centennial Memorial Park) to commemorate the Centennial of the Metropolitan District of Auckland, and to provide for the constitution of such Board and to prescribe its powers and functions. (b) To provide for the transfer to the Board of the unexpended portion of the moneys donated for the purpose of the purchase cf land for the said Park and held by the said Committee. (c) To empower the Board to provide funds for its purposes by the making of levies on certain local authorities.
