YOUNG MAORI'S THEFT
(0.C.) PUTARURU-. Wednesday. A plea of guilty was entered by Joseph Edwards (19), a Maori, of Okoroire, when he appeared before Messrs. R. Lee and N. Fitzherbert, J.P.'s, at Putaruru, charged with stealing a motor car rim, tyre and tube to the value of £5, the property of Herbert Bellamy. Accused said it was his first offence and he deeply regretted it. He was sentenced to seven davs' imprisonment.
