AT CHURCH PARADE Mr. Fraser Takes The Salute At Naval Base United Pre*s Association.—Copjrirht. Rec. 1.30 p.m. LONDON. July 14. Mr. P. Frascr attended a church parade at Plymouth of 1000 naval ratings, including 157 New Zealanders, and afterwards took the salute at the march-past. He addressed the New Zealanders, shaking each by the hand, and also met seven New Zealand members of the R.A.F.. including Squadron-Leader Blake, D.F.C. He inspected the Naval Docks and met Admiralty Inspector G. Lark, brother of the New Zealand M.L.C.. Mr. F. E. Lark. He later toured the bombed areas and saw the stone commemorating the Otry's sailing for New Zealand in 1838. During the inspection the Royal Marines Band played the compositions, "Haere Re" and "Dunedin," which Bandmaster F. J. Ricketts composed when visiting the Dunedin Exhibition. Mr. Fraser. Mr. \V. J. Jordan, New Zealand High Commissioner, and Mr. C. A. Berendsen (the Prime Minister's secretary) lunched with Admiral Sir Charles Forbes and Viscount and Lady Astor, the Mayor and Mayoress of Plymouth, before proceeding to Bristol, where he dined with the Lord Mayor and inspected the bombed areas of the city.
