Xew Women's Club.—Dr. Hilda Northeroft spoke on the necessity for the proposed post-graduate centre of obstetrics and gynaecology in Auckland. The president, Mrs A Gladding, presided.

Lancashire Kffort.—An afternoon was held at the home of Mrs. Boyce, Mons Avenue. Mount Roskill, to help augment the funds of the Lancashire Society's effort to send aid to help the distress in Lancashire. A feature of the afternoon was a waxworks display, and a substantial amount was added to the funds.
