TO AMERICAN WOMEN
AUSTRALIAN- RETURNS HOME
The interesting experience of speaking at the New York World's Fair fell to Lady Scott, who passed through Auckland on the Monterey on her return to Melbourne after a 13-months' tour of America. "I didn't intend to give such a talk," said Lady Scott, "but I was approached by the chairman of the national section of the International Council of Women. Miss Henriet Hart, who asked if I would give an address to help make American women more internationally-minded.
"Alter that I found myself giving many informal talks to groups of women. 1 always took as my subject "Australia and the Pacific," taking in New Zealand at the same time.' Lady Scott added that she was a member of the Institute of Pacific Relations.
