Royal Akarana Clob.—The forty-sixth annual presentation of prices won during the past season bv the boats of the Royal Akarnna Yacht Cl'ib was hold In the clubhouse. Campbell's Pent, on Saturday evening. There vas a fair attendance of members and visitors, including Mr. M. K Draffin. commodore of the Royal N.Z. Tnclit Rqindron: Md. J. H. Frater. president of the N".vy LraTue. od officers of sister clubs. The con:miviore, M'. E. Edecumbe. reviewing the pnst season, sold that while entries had been less, all fixtures were carried out with the excen'ion of the long distance nee for tho Balokovic Cup. The prizes were presented by the patron. Captain H H. Sergeant, who congratulated the officers and members on their eflorts to carry on as us\ial un'.il the boys returned, which, he added, he was sure met with the approval of all yachtsmen serving the colours. The prizes made a fine display, the cups. Including the Colin Memorial Gold Cup. won in 1039 by Mr. W. Burn"s Ngsbau: the Transfssman Cun. won in 1931 by the Teddy to Sydney, and bv Te Rapunca in 1934. to Melbourne, and the Balokovic Cup. presented to the club by M. and Madame Balokovic of the yacht Northern Light. In 1931. when Mr. F. JcCoUB was commodore. Heme Bay Club.—There was a crowded attendance on Saturday evening at the Westmere Cabaret when the Heme Bay Junior Yacht Club hald their annsl prize-giving. The commodore. Mr. Geo. M. Dennes. welcomed the visitors, including Sir Ernest Davis (patron). Sir Ronald Crosa, Hon. W. Nash. Acting Prime Minister, and officers of all local yacht clubs. The Silver Fern class of one-design boats, fosterea by this club. had proved popular wherever they were built. Mr. Crimes said. At Easte- several boats visited Rotortia. Arl-1 winning the N.Z. freshwater championship for the Silver Fern class. The club was also successful In winning the Llpton Cup with Its nominee. Otira. and other boats did well at
