MANY TONS IN AUCKLAND
Over 42,000 copies of the last telephone directory, which is to be col-1 lected by .the Metropolitan Waste Reclamation Committee, were issued in Auckland, and as the weight of each is 250£ the total amount of paper invoamd, exceeds 25 tons. The new directoTOfto come into use next Sunday is Confined to the Auckland automatic area, excluding the towns which have-been listed in the past, and is therefore somewhat smaller. By providing for the towns separately a considerable saving of paper has been made.
