THE TRAIN

(By Wanda MeKenzie. e/o Mrs. MeCovn, TlUracsl Road, New Lynn.) Click, clack, click clack. Do they sing a song? I love to hear the train wheels, As we rush along. Now we're going faster, I can scarcely hear All those separate click-clacks, That were so very clear. Now the train is stopping. Now it starts once more; Peep! goes the whistle, And bang! goes the door. There is the guard, Mum! He's come to tell us—what? Surely, surely, we don't have To leave the train next stop?

™ A spare moment puzzle. Not a competition
