INVALIDED HOME
SMALL DRAFT IX AUCKLAND
Invalided home from overseas, seven members of the New Zealand Expeditionary Force have arrived in Auckland. One man is suffering from injuries due to a motor cycle collision in the blackout in England, but the remainder are sickness cases which occurred en route to the Middle East. Private G. Esau, of Palmerston North, who had spent some time in the new Yaralla Military Hospital in Australia, was admitted to the Auckland Hospital. The other members of the party were: Private V. R. McCloughan, 1, Dean Street, Grey Lynn; Sapper J. H. D'Arcy, 4, Middle Street, Ponsonby; Signalman W. Bennett, Dunedin; Gunner R. J. D. Abrahams, Hamilton: Sapper M." R. Tavlor, Wellington: Driver A. C. Campion, Christchurch.
The men were met on their arrival by Captain W. V. Quane. office] - in charge of sick and wounded, null hem military district.
