BUTTER AND CHEESE

CHAMPIONSHIP AWARDS

On the whole the quality of the creamery butter was very satisfactory, particularly from the point of view of body and texture, said the judges of the butter section at this year's Waikato Winter Show, which will be opened on Tuesday. Referring to the cheese section, the judges said that this very attractive display gave considerable satisfaction to the judges on account of the uniformly good quality of the exhibits. General defects such as open texture, scorched or unclean flavours were much less in evidence. The outstanding characteristic was the absence of mechanical openness.
