POSTAGE CONCESSIONS
CHEAP RATES FOR PARCELS
(P.A.) WELLINGTON, this day. A concession in postage rates in respect of parcels for members of the British armed forces overseas has now been extended to parcels for members of the British merchant service, care of the shipping companies concerned at overseas ports, according to an announcement by t« e Postmaster-ueneral, the Hon. P. Webb, to-day. Parcels for members of the British merchant service will now be accepted at the following ratesNot exceeding 31b, 1/; 71b, 2/; 111b 4/.
Mr. Webb added that the concession had been extended because in this war members of the merchant service were, to all intents and purposes, members of the combatant forces.
