"SNOWY" SVENSON

A visitor to Wanganui this week was K. S. ("Snowy") Svenson. A member of the unbeaten 1921 All Black team, Mr. Svenson is one of a small band of Rughv plavcrs who has represented both the North and South Islands. He was a member of the Wanganui team which played against the South African team in a memorable match on Cook's Gardens in 1921.

, Moving to the South Island in 1922, Svenson played for Buller and won selection in the South Island that year. When resident in Wellington he was selected for the 19° t AJI Blacks, and he plaved against Wales, Ireland, England and France. Svenson won selection in the New rnoi a l} d teams of 1925 and 1926. In 1933 he returned to Wanganui for a time and coached the Wanganui and Old Boys senior team. He now resides in the Tauranga district.
