UNPRECELENTED FEAT
A WONDERFUL QUARTET
"It must be an almost unprecedented feat for the Dominion to have produced four horses of the class of High Caste, Beau Vite, Beaulivre and Gold Salute in the same season, and it may be necessary to go back to 1901, when Menschikoff. Cruciform and Royal Artillery were all three-year-olds. The present champions are a wonderful advertisement for New Zealand blood, as three of them, High Caste, Beaulivre and Gold Salute belong to families that have been domiciled in the Dominion for nearly 100 years, while the ancestress of Beau Vite came to NeAV Zealand in the first years of the century," writes "Blair Athol" in the "New Zealand Farmer Weekly." Under the title of "Stud and Race Track," the sporting section of this weekly journal has gained wide appreciation from racing enthusiasts throughout New Zealand. Owing to difficulties imposed by the war, the daily Press is compelled to reduce the amount of space devoted to racing, but the "New Zealand Farmer Weekly" has been able to maintain and develop this valuable section. It is felt that an introduction to "Stud and Race Track" would provide a wealth of valuable and interesting information for racing enthusiasts in general. Extra copies of the sporting section have therefore been printed, and a free specimen may be obtained on application to the Manager. New Zealand Newspapers, Ltd., Auckland.
