PORKER RESTRICTIONS
RELAXATION SUGGESTED (P.A.) PALMERSTON NORTH, this day. Regarding the decision to permit the export of baconers In stock up to April 12, Mr. C. Hausmann, president of the New Zealand Association of Bacon Curers, stated that the annual meeting held in Christchurch bad passed a resolution requesting the Minister ol Marketing to announce immediately the lifting of the weight of porker killings after June 30 to 1201bs for export. This is desirable as porkers to this, weight will be accepted by the United Kingdom to the extent of shipping space available, and will greatly facilitate the conversion of the necessary pigs to baconer weights in the spring, when there Is every indication that carcases of baconer weights will be in short supply for local consumption.
