Evidence for the deflhnce was given to-day in the claimjary Horace E Bush, labourer, of Waihi, and his daughter, Joan A Bush, aged nine years (Mr. Haigh), agaiinst the Auckland Electric Power] Board (Mr. West). Following a collision between plaintiff's motor car; and a truck driven by a servant of the defendant company, the plainttfE claimed £35 special and £2000 general damages on behalf of his daud-hter and £111 special and £250 general damages in respect to injuries sustained, on the § round that the collision, on Wiri ridge, was due to the? negligence of the truck driver. For the defence, tb;e truck driver said he attributed the , accident to the plaintiff braking his ear and swerving into the truck.
