The following Air Foitce casualties arc announced:— Freinlin, Eric Rutherford (Sgt.)— Killed in flying accident.—Mr. O. C. Fremlin. Auckland, father. Gill, Frederick Kenneth (PilotOfliccr). —Missing on air operations.—Mrs. B. Gill,, Auckland, mother. Droingoole, lan (Pilot-Ofll cer)—Previously reported missing, believed killed, May, 1940. Death now officially confirmed.—Mr. V. P. Dromgoole, Lytteltow (father.). Presumed Dead The following are officially presumed dead:— Cameron, Kdward cdlin Joseph (I'ilot-Oflicer). — Previously reported missing, beljieved* killed in action, July, 194Q.—Mr. A. B. Cameron, Waihi (father). Cobden, Donald Gordon CPilot-Officer) Previously reported missing. August. 1910.—Mr. A. D. Cobden, Christchurch (father). Watson, Samuel Miles Mackenzie (Flying-Officer).—Previously reported missing, believed killed July, 1940.—Mr. M. Watson, Wellington (father). I ;
Sergeant E. Fremlin -tfvas a son of Mr. and Mrs. C. Frestolin, of 44, Brown Street, Ponsonby.. Sergeant Fremlin, who was 19 y ears of age, was educated at the Richmond Road School, and before enlisting was employed by an Auckland, engineering firm. He was trained an the Royal New Zealand Air Force, leaving- the Dominion last October, and on his arrival in Britain was attached to a
