DEATH AT 102 YEARS
PIOXEER W AIM ATE WOMAN (P.A.) WAIMATE, this day. Mrs. Ann Hubbard, who was 102 on April 30, died 3'esterday after one of the few illnesses during her . long life. Born in 1838 at Foulsham, England, she came to New Zealand with her husband, Mr. George Hubbard, and their six children, landing ! by surfboats at Timaru in 1874. j After a few years they l'emoved to i Waimate and bought a farm on the ' outskirts of the town. Widowed in | 1919, Mrs. Hubbard still lived in her ' old home, leaving in 1936 after 60 ; years to reside with a cfaughter. i Survivors of a family of 12 arc! Mesdames E. George. T. Phillips and | C.
