There wae a subdued tone on the Auckland Stock Exchange on reopening after tho week-end to-day, offers for leading Australian securities being reduced as a reaction to the New South Wales election remit. Quotations were little changed for Dominion shares. New Zealand Insurances were firmer with a transfer at £3 I,'. Auckland Gat*, which have been weakening for some time, changed hands at 5/6, tho lowest level since" the capital was reorsanisivl in April last year. The continued etrengrth of Government loans was confirmed with pales at advanced prices.
