No Longer "Poison"

HARRY BRANDT, New York circuit exhibitor, whose list of "poison stars" caused a minor sensation in movieland four years ago, has restored Katharine Hepburn to good standing, states Harold Heffernan. "I'll play Hepburn and 'Philadelphia Story' gladly," said Brandt, after seeing the picture. The actress had received "top billing" on Brandt's anti-box office compilation. Others were Marlene Dietrich, Mae West, Edward Arnold, Joan Crawford, Kay Francis and Doug Fairbanks, jun. Odd sidelight on the situation is that all seven have shown marked career progress since that branding.
