LONG SERVICE ENDS

NEWTON INFANT MISTRESS

Teachers, pupils and friends of the Newton Central District School gathered yesterday to farewell Miss Amy B. Pegler, infant mistress at the school. After serving at the school for over 16 years. Miss Pegler is retiring on superannuation. Various speakers paid tributes to her work including Mr. A. E. Reynolds, the headmaster. On behalf of the school committee Miss Pegler was presented with a crystal vase, while a clock was presented to her from the children of the school.
