HOLLYWOOD AID.

N.Z. WAR FUNDS APPEAL.

(P.A.) WELLINGTON.. Sunday. The New Zealand war funds appeal is receiving the support of leading film producers of the United States. Some time ago, Mr. R. Lyall Grant communicated with Mr. Harold Auten, representative of Greater Union Theatres of Australia, in New York, who promptly approached 10 leading companies and obtained the co-operation of all. The result is the shipment of many articles used or worn by film stars in recent productions to be used in raising money here. The whole shipment is conservatively estimated to be worth 15,000 dollars. How the collection is to be disposed of has not yet been determined.
