The charges related to allesed 'occurrences at the home, of accused on February 24, Mrs. Annie Easter Salaman, Ferroaux's sister, being the com-l 'plainant.

A. Bennett. for the. accused, submitted that the evidence showed the ;case was a dispute between a brother and a sister over a dead husband. He .said Mrs. Salaman had regretted pro- | mising her brother £.".00 and had | endeavoured to reduce it to £200, but on ; her brother persisting she was uot pre|pa red to insist on a reduction that she | knew was not right and had paid out !£4.->O.
