NICKEL SHORTAGE.
NAZI STEEL WILL SUFFER. (Reed. 10 a.m.) NOUMEA, April 13. Well-informed opinion in New Caledonia confirms the extreme German shortage of nickel. Pre-war stocks also were small. French stocks capable of seizure are exhausted and other sources are practically non-existent. "Germany must do without this metal, and in the long run it will inevitably affect the quality of her war material, including tanks," eavs an expert.
