ORIGIN OF LIFE.

RATIONALIST LECTURE.

The origins of human life were dealt with by Miss Anne Lcnnon in an address at the Strand Theatre last evening under the auspices of the Auckland Rationalist Association. The speaker traced the lowest form of aqueous life with the various forms leading up to man. That lower forms had given place to higher had been scientifically proved, the speaker asserted. This process took millions of years, for Xature in her laboratory was heedless ot time. Human life began as a cell and the embryo, repeating the life story of the human race, evolved frcm simplicity to complexity. In this long chain Nature had worked irrespective of type for she had sustained and destroyed very often purposely. The lecture was illustrated with lantern slides.
