PONSONBY-HERNE BAY CLUB
At the annual general meeting the following officers were elected for the ensuing year:—Patron, Mr. P. Carr, M.l\; president, Mr. A. l'age; vicepresident, Mr. F. Cross; secretarytreasurer. Mr. S. Devon; executive, Messrs. W. K. Davis, F. Corcoran, W. .Tones, E. Cullen, E. Adams and E. Rilev. Serving memlwrs of the Armv and Air Force were guests of the evening and the secretary spoke on the keeping of the social clubs alive so that the soldiers of to-day when they returned could benefit. Corporal Finlay, R.X.Z.A.F., said he f<it sure the young soldiers appreciated all that was beinjr done for them, and that they would take advantage of it. Enjoyable items were given by Bill Thompson, Jock Riley and several members of the c'.ub, Mr. G. Paltridge being the pianist
