VOTERS' FACILITIES.
MOVE AT DEVONPOET.
The need foe Do von port electors to be civen every facility to record their votes at the forthcoming municipal elections was urged by Mr. K. Aldridge at a meeting of the J)cvonport lioiough Council.
On previous occasions, Mr. Aldridge, the council had put tip streamers uriiiiijj voters to enroll, and "iven other forms of publicity to the occasion and the duties of voters. At present, some people were complaining that thev were unable to obtain electoral forms 011 voting day. He added that it was the returning officer's duty to give the public evorv facility and the borouph o dices should be kept open until a later hour for the period until the elections were held.
On Mr. Aldridge's motion it was decided to have the council nflice remain open until 0 p.m. instead of 4 p.m. for the coining week *o that electors could obtain forms and be placed 011 the roll, which closcs at the end of the week.
