GOOD MIXERS.
FRIENDSHIP BETWEEN ALLIES. ft has long been the idea of the British Council, and certainly was the hope of the late Lord Lloyd, who did so much for it. that Knglish people, should make the very most of the great chances offered for fostering international friendships while so many refugee communities are in Great Britain.
When the new Czechoslovak Institute was opened in Loudon much was said about bringing tlio Poles from the Polish hearth to entertainments there, and the. Poles reciprocated by asking the Czechs to tlieir gatherings, and so on. Months ago the Czechoslovak Government was received by the President of Poland, and later King Haakon of Xorway and members of his Government were guests of the Poles.
Xow the Allies are becoming better and better mixers. Recently, for ex ample, the Xorwegians held a party in the Czechoslovak Institute and were entertained by a Polish pianist. Xorwegian soldiers and sailors who happened to be passing through London we.re welcomed in.
