OCEAN YACHT RACE.
AUCKLAND TO COROMANDEL,
(0-C.) THAMES, this day. Xinc yachts started yesterday in the lace to Curoniandel in a fresh south-west breeze. The winner was the K clase keeler Kaniblcr was second and Xgahau third. The race started at 9.40 a.m. Moutere was first off. followed by Ngahau. Kotiri, \ alkyrie, Oniatero, Tnirangi, Rambler, Klsinorc and Sundowner. „A'' ? et spinnakers for the run to YVaiheke Passage, Kotiri taking the lead, which it held to the finish. Off Awaroa Bay the wind jrcuhencd in a heavy rain squall, the order here beinp: Kotiri, Xgahau, Oinatcre and Rambler. It was a fi.it lun down the parssajjc and across the guli to the finishing line oil Purser's Island at the entrance to the harbour. Rambler did better in the su'f, taking second place, which was held to the finish.
Another squall changed the wind more to southerly, and quick time was made across the gulf. \ alkyrie and Tuirangi, both on a handicap of 40 minutes, returned to tones Bay.
