BRICK SHELTERS.

"WICKED WASTE OF MONEY." LONDON, April 9. The Bristol A.R.I'. Committee has reported to the City Council that city r-lielters accommodating 21.000 persons have been demolished because they were brick shelters constructed early in the war, when cement was unavailable, and have since been banned on instructions from the Ministry of Home Security.

Councillor F. C. Williams said vesterdav: "Someone should be held responsible for the wicked waste of public money. The common people arc exposed to frightful danger as a result of this great Government scandal. I understand that is common throughout the country, and accordingly the rebuilding cost must l>e millions of pounds."
