DEATH IN HOSPITAL.

The victim of an accident on Monday evening, when he was struck by a tramcar in Upper Synionds Street, Mr. Michael Joseph Man ton, aged 49, married, of <>. Flower Street, Eden Terraee. die-d at the Auckland Hospital yesterday morning. 'Mr. Manton was admitted to the hospital suffering from spine and head injuries. An inquest was opened before the city coroncr, Mr. 1". K. Hunt, and adjourned.
