MAN OF DESTINY.
ENGLAND'S CHURCHILL. HIS WARNINGS UNHEEDED.
If the advice of WinMon Churchill in the, years since the Great War had been heeded by the people of England, Hitler would never have dared his aggressions. said Pr. O. C. Mrtzengnrb, in a luncheon address to members of the Auckland Chamber of Commerce to-day. Ife was reviewing Ihe life of England's Prime Minister, '"the man whom God has selected to lead England in her hour of greatest need."
Dr. Ma/.cngarb said the lesson to be learned from such a great life was to pay more attention to the voice crying in the wilderness, and not to be satisfied by the pomp'ous self-satisfied voice of authority saying that all is well. Repeatedly Mr. Churchill had warned Britain that Germany was reanninir, but the Government and the people were fooled by waves of smug disbelief. Dr. Mazengarb was warmly applauded at the end of the address, the president of the chamber, Mr. L. A. Eady, conveying the appreciation of members.
