FOLLOWED THEM AROUND.
Masy cricketers have had reason to bemoan the fact that when they are having a bad day in the field, catchee will persist in "following them around," T. F. C. Geary and J. R. Nimmo, of Carisbrook B, had this unpleasant experience against Old Boys at Dunedin last Saturday. Geary started the ball rolling by dropping a "sitter" in the slips before V. J. Leader had scored, and Nimmo missed the same batsman, also in the slips, a few runs later. Thereafter catches followed both of them. The others were not as easy as the first two, but altogether Geary and Nimmo between them missed six or eeven chances of getting rid of Old Boys batsmen. Both catch well as a rule, and it almost certainly cost their side an outright win that an attack of butter flncrers should have overtaken them in this match.
